Star Wars pwns...

So, yeah, its offical.

That I'm lazy. I mean, really, how long does it take to post a simple blurb about what's happening? Well, starting today, I plan on rectifying that.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Well, I'm down in Caldwell for the Triduum. Maundy Thursday went real nice. Lots of smoke, bells, fancy processions, ect. Today will be interesting to say the least. Its not that Good Friday  (or Great Friday as the Orthodox call it) is particularly hard, in fact, it is the easiest of all the Triduum Masses but it confuses most servers. My theory behind why it does this is that it is the least like a normal Mass - in fact it isn't a Mass- of all the Masses in the Triduum.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Recently I have been in a very Foo-Fighters mood. Which is odd for me, cause, although I like them, I only tend to listen to their album every once in a while, and certainly not every day for like a week. Because I like to give everyone a glimpse of what I am listening too Here is the first track on their recent album, Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace

The Swiss are brilliant

I dont know what it is about them, but they make the most rediculos stuff. Now they've done it again. A car that can drive on the road, on the water and under the water.

From Fox:

The concept car developer Rinspeed calls its "sQuba" the first real submersible car.

Unlike military vehicles, which can only drive slowly on a lakebed, Rinspeed says its car can provide a stable "flight" at a depth of 30 feet.

"For three decades I have tried to imagine how it might be possible to build a car that can fly underwater," says Frank Rinderknecht, Rinspeed's 52-year-old CEO and a professed James Bond fan. "Now we have made this dream come true."

The car will be unveiled at next month's Geneva Auto Show.

Rinderknecht says it is difficult to make a car watertight and pressure-resistant enough to be maneuverable underwater.

"The real challenge, however, was to create a submersible car that moves like a fish in water," he added.

Working with engineering specialists, Rinspeed removed the combustion engine from a sports car and replaced it with several electrical motors.

Three are located in the rear, with one providing propulsion on land and the other driving the screw for underwater motoring.

Passengers will be able to keep breathing underwater through an integrated tank of compressed air similar to what is used in scuba diving.

But they will get wet.

"For safety reasons, we have built the vehicle as an open car so that the occupants can get out quickly in an emergency," Rinderknecht said.

In entirely unrelated news, I want one.

Philosophy, It's good for the Soul

So Peter Kreeft wrote the book we are using for Logic. I get the feeling, by reading his stuff, that the guy really enjoys writing textbooks. One of his arguments that he gives you in the 'problems to work on' section is this:

"Philosophy is a kind of love- the love of wisdom. Therefore Philosophy professors who accept salaries are mercenary lovers. They're intellectual prostitutes; they sell their love for money."

Lillian, Egypt

I really really love music. Especially Good Music. And Josh Ritter fits somewhere close to the top of that category. His new CD, The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter, is some of the best music I have heard in a long while. His older CD, The Animal Years, is also quite good. Here is one  off the Animal Years, listen and discover for yourself:
